On 15th September, Petra Matić from the Non-Aligned Archive joined Lina Džuverović (curator and researcher) and Goran Musić (historian, Vienna University) in a panel discussion “I WOULD NOT BE YOUR COMRADE IF I DIDN’T TELL YOU THIS”, organised by artistic duo doplgenger (Belgrade).

Panelists discussed the legacy of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the role of archiving such historical efforts to bypass centuries-old colonial extractive dynamics. They asked questions like: What is the status of counter-archives, such as the Non-Aligned Archive, in the knowledge production on anti-colonial ethics and postulates? If one regards the archive as a form of resistance, the question about ways of sharing and disseminating this knowledge becomes the point in the thread of envisioning forms of solidarity in neo-imperial context.

The panel was part of Laboratory for Anti-Imperial Solidarity, doplgenger's project imagined as a form of emancipatory platform, serving as a meeting point for environmental activists, artists, and engaged (non)citizens, especially from EU's peripheries, to share their struggles and explore new, radical ways to participate, influence policy, and support society through collective learning. The event took place within the WienWoche festival for art and activism in Vienna (11.-21.09.2025.).
