We invite you to the film evening “Eye of the World”, marking the public launch of the Non-Aligned Archive, taking place on Saturday, May 3rd at 6 PM at the Serbian Cultural Center in Zagreb.
The Non-Aligned Archive is a community-based initiative dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the cultural heritage of African, Asian, and American communities in Croatia—rooted in the historical context of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Slovenian by Choice (2019, 50 min)
This documentary tells the stories of eight individuals who relocated to former Yugoslavia within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement. They started new lives in Slovenia, building careers and families. -
Blaq Tito (2022, 10 min 44 sec)
A short film capturing the artistic interaction between Christian Guerematchi’s solo performance NAM - Non-Aligned Movement and Ibrahim Mahama’s Parliament of Ghosts. It reflects on forgotten histories and the contemporary echoes of Ghana–Yugoslavia cultural ties.

Join a conversation about the films and the broader context of the Non-Aligned Archive with Rea Drvar and Mohamed Al Younis, moderated by Petra Matić.
Films will be screened with English subtitles.

The film evening is supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the City of Zagreb, the Kultura Nova Foundation, and the Moleskine Foundation, and is organized in partnership with the Subversive Festival.
